设色,能补笔墨之不足,达笔墨之用意,显笔墨之妙处。一般认为,南齐谢赫提出的“随类赋彩”是施色的原则。要深刻地认识中国画的色彩理论,不可把“类”简单地认为是物象固有色,它实乃指物之品性,故画家应著色于意,随心赋彩,才能觉悟地创作,而不被色彩表象所迷惑。
