“Introduction to Tourism ” is the core curriculum and basic courses for tourism major. In this paper, we will focus on the strategies of improving teaching effectiveness of the Introduction to Tourism Studies from four aspects: changing teaching ideas, optimizing and integrating teaching contents, innovating teaching methods and reforming and assessing methods. “Introduction to Tourism ” is an entry level course for tourism management students.
