Objective To study the differences of virulence factors among oral Candida albicans between oral Candida albicans and healthy volunteers. Methods 54 strains of oral Candida albicans isolated from HIV + and healthy subjects were collected. The phospholipase, protease, germ tube formation ability and adhesion to oral mucosal cells of two groups of bacteria were determined by in vitro method. Results The oral Candida albicans phospholipase positive rate in HIV + population was significantly lower than that in healthy population (P <0.05), 28 d 3d and yeast extract + 35 ℃ 5 d culture, two groups of bacteria (P <0.05). There was a significant difference in oral Candida albicans protease activity and germ tube formation ability among healthy people from HIV + population (P <0.01). The oral cavity Candida albicans adhesion was no significant difference (P> 0.05). Conclusion HIV-related oral Candida albicans is less virulent than healthy isolates.
