Since the 1970s, the “space turn” not only broke through the linear time-history bondage, but also caused the transformation of contemporary cultural thinking. At the same time, it also opened up a broad path for literary space writing and space criticism. With the rise of postmodernism, scholars have begun to reexamine the “space ” in human life. This article discusses the space of postmodernist novels from aspects of space-time integration, juxtaposition, fragment space and calling space. By overthrowing the traditional time dimension, the postmodernist novel constructs a series of three-dimensional spaces with more dimensions than the traditional novels, demonstrating the helplessness, confusion, division and absurdity of the human existence under the post-modern conditions in an all-round and multi-dimensional manner.
