《胡笳十八拍》的真伪之争是文学史上的一桩公案。王小盾教授从琴曲、琴歌的发展历程出发,认为“旧题为蔡琰的骚体《胡笳十八拍》”的谱与辞的作者是“南唐人蔡翼”。王文被研究者认为“预示了《胡笳十八拍》真伪之争的终结”。本文认为,王文所征引史料的关键词及断句、得出结论的关键性前提,以及最后的结论,均存在不同程度的问题。若要继续讨论这个命题,需要真正确实可靠的证据与更加严谨周密的论证;目前这个问题仍以存疑为妥。故而,《胡笳十八拍》的真伪之争尚未终结。
