This article first elaborated on many of its shortcomings, and then proposed a solution to the problem. Instead, use a robot with a sensor system to clean large castings. This cleaning process has many advantages. What is particularly noteworthy in this paper is the design of such a grinding and cleaning device and the arrangement of work sites including dust removal facilities.
