党的宗旨就是军队的宗旨,党的旗帜就是军队的旗帜。军队践行党的群众路线,最重要最根本的是打牢官兵绝对听党指挥的思想根基。1944年9月8日,各界人民在延安为一个小战士张思德举行了一个隆重简朴的追悼会。毛泽东同志亲自到会讲话,鲜明地提出了中国共产党和人民军队的宗旨:为人民服务——我们的共产党和共产党所领导的八路军、新四军,是革命的队伍。我们这个队伍完全是为着解放人民的,是彻底地为人民的利益工作的。 The purpose of the party is the military’s purpose, the party’s banner is the army’s banner.
