针对基于面模型的战场环境建模难以反映整个战场环境要素的全貌和细节的不足,详细阐述了体素与体素模型的概念和特点,分析了利用体素模型在战场陆地环境、气象环境、电磁环境和海洋环境实现建模和可视化的研究现状。讨论了体素模型对战场环境各要素建模的适应性,分析了战场环境中适合进行体建模的体要素的特点,并进行了分类,为进一步利用体素模型和体绘制技术实现战场环境的建模与可视化打下基础。
