群体事件是当前社会安全和社会稳定中最突出的问题,处理失当将引发严重的社会危机,现在已经进入了群体性事件的高发期,而且中国社会还可能面临更多的矛盾冲突。群体事件的发生是社会转型时期利益矛盾的表现,其产生和解决最主要的是靠政府制定公平的政策和政府的角色定位,长远来看,增强政府部门的公信力,建立包括弱势群体的利益表达机制和公平的社会政策是解决问题的关键。
