文同是北宋时期在文人墨竹画领域取得最高成就的代表性人物之一,他对后世中国画发展的主要贡献是开创湖州竹派,并影响产生了眉山竹派,从而促进文人画的形成与发展,成为中国文人画的开拓者。在诗、书、画三门艺术上全面精通的能力,使他在文人墨竹画创作与理论方面都有非凡的成就。本文所论述的“形理两全”说,即是文同所提出的绘画思想之一。文同的墨竹画创作,既十分重视状物而又不拘泥于具体物象形态的写实性细节,强调在把握竹子物理属性的基础上,以画中求书为 Wen Tong is one of the most representative figures in the field of literati painting in the Northern Song Dynasty.
