A polycrystalline sample of perovskite (La1-yTby) 0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (y = 0-1) was prepared by solid-state reaction sintering. The microstructure, the magnetism at room temperature and low temperature, the change of the magnetoresistance of the sample with the temperature and the composition, the change of the resistance with the temperature and so on were studied. And in y = 040 samples, 170K in the vicinity of the maximum magnetization field of 7T, the observed giant magnetoresistance of 900%
