上海市委决定寻找中共“一大”诞生地在1950年夏末的一次会议上,由陈毅市长提议,经上海市委讨论同意,决定开始布置寻找中国共产党第一次代表大会会址的工作。因为上海是中国共产外,还有市委宣传部干部杨重光和上海军事管制委员会干部沈之瑜。沈之瑜原名茹志成,曾用名茹茄、鲁楷,浙江杭州人,他的胞妹茹志鹃是著名作家。沈之瑜是个老上海,对上海十分熟悉,接到姚溱电话后连忙赶往福州路上海市委,问姚溱:“有什么线索吗?”
