经处理过的碳化合物和石墨用作动密封已经很久了,处理过的碳用作密封圈、滑环、填料圈或防护环,而处理过的石墨粉和碳纤维用作软质填料的辅助材料。但长期以来处理过的碳和石墨却未能在静密封领域里应用。最近得到了一种新的纯石墨结构材料,它不仅适用于动密封,而且也适用于静密封,至此困难的密封问题就被解决了。这种结构材料是西德Sigri制造的,商业上名称为Sigraflex,其产品有柔性石墨带、积层薄片和其他用压力成形的圈。制造制造这种新石墨产品的原材料是纯净的,适当地定过向的石墨,通过化学和热处理方法使晶间距离增大到其标准值3.35 A°的数倍。
Treated carbon compounds and graphite have been used as a dynamic seal for a long time. Recently, a new pure graphite structure material has been obtained which is not only suitable for dynamic sealing, but also for static sealing, and the difficult sealing problem has been solved. This structural material is manufactured by Sigri, West Germany, under the trade name Sigraflex. Its products are flexible graphite ribbons, laminated sheets and other pressure-formed rings. The raw materials used to make this new graphite product are pure, properly oriented graphite, which is chemically and thermally treated to increase the intergranular distance to a multiple of 3.35 A ° from its standard value.
