In the recent ten years, due to the achievements of molecular biology in the research of soil fertility, great attention has been paid to the relationship between soil enzymes and soil fertility. Therefore, the research on soil enzymes has developed rapidly and has formed a branch of science - Soil enzymology. A large number of domestic and foreign research data over the past 20 years show that, although the amount of enzymes accumulated in the soil is very small, it has a great effect. It plays an important role in the cycling of elements, the synthesis and decomposition of humus, the decomposition of organic compounds, and under conditions unfavorable to the proliferation of microorganisms. The activity of soil enzymes is an important index to characterize the degree of soil ripening and the level of fertility.
