“瞽”是中国古代盲乐师，由于眼睛失明和他们对音乐的专擅，“瞽”在某种意义上营造了西周至近现代的中国独特的民族民间音乐文化氛围。 “相”，被认为是中国最古老的说唱艺术形式，也有人说“相”只不过是一种“辅乐”的打击乐器，而正是这集两种内涵于一身的特点，使“相”典型地说明了音乐由说到唱的形式发展脉络。 研究这两个概念，可以使我们对中国古代音乐见微知著。
Because of blindness in the eyes and their special mastery of music, “瞽” is a blind music teacher in ancient China.
