Jack London was a very important American novelist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries who wrote many works in his short life span. The 1890 US Census marks the end of the movement of the continental United States, where agricultural society is gradually being replaced by industrial society. As a result, the American nation in the transitional period began to cherish the agricultural realm of the just-gone frontier and to reflect on the rise of an industrialized urban civilization. As a writer, Jack London has an extraordinary plot on the American frontier. The border plot is mainly reflected in two aspects. One is London’s own legendary adventure on the frontier. The second is that London has created a large number of borderland-related issues works.
