中学英语教学大纲明确指出英语课是一门实践性很强的工具课,教师在精讲语言基础知识的同时要着重培养学生运用所学语言知识进行“听、说、读、写”的能力。在考查语言基础知识的同时加强英语“听、说、读、写”能力的考查。因此通过“听、说、读、写”的反复操练使学生形成自动化的语言运用习惯与能力乃目前高中英语教学的关键所在。从目前的现状来看,最被忽视的就是“说”的训练。站在老师的角度,“说”的训练耗费时间,影响教学进度,更何况在高考中不是必考内容,所以不重视对学生“说”的能力的培养。能够在课堂上用英语流利表达自己观点的学生很少,能够与外国朋友自如交流的孩子也不多。学生想开口说英语,但是因为平时训练得太少,没有形成用英语思考的习惯,所以到需要输出的时候,就词穷了。70年代国外学者W.M.Rivers和M.S.Tamperly曾对以英语为母语的一般成年人在听、说、读、写四个方面的交际活动作了一个调查。其结果充分表明了听说的领先性和重要性,听是领会和吸收信息的最主要途径占语言交际活动总和的45%;说是人与人之间交流知识和信息的主要方式占30%,读占6%,写占9%。实际上我们与英美人的实际交往主要也是通过听和说进行的。因此,在英语教学中,我们不仅不能弱化“说”的能力的培养,反而应该大力提倡和鼓励学生开口用英语交流。 The English syllabus of high school clearly pointed out that English class is a very practical tool class. In the 1970s, W.M.Rivers and M.S.Tamperly, foreign scholars, conducted a survey of communicative activities in four aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The results have fully demonstrated the leading and importance of listening and speaking. Listening is the most important way to understand and absorb information, which accounts for 45% of the total. Among them, 30% means that the main way of exchanging knowledge and information between people is 30% , Reading 6%, write 9%. In fact, our actual interaction with Anglo-Saxone is mainly through listening and speaking.
