《最蓝的眼睛》是美国黑人女作家,1993年诺贝尔文学奖获得者托妮·莫里森的处女作。小说情节看似简单,但视野广阔,含意深刻。莫里森在小说中深切关注黑人的生活境遇及其在双重文化冲突下的命运。本文试图首先从家庭、社区、社会三方面寻找导致小说主人公佩科拉悲剧的原因,然后探讨作品所采用的结构艺术对其悲剧的揭示作用和影响。
“The Bluest Eye” is a debut by the African-American woman writer Toni Morrison, winner of the 1993 Nobel Prize for Literature. The plot seems simple, but broad vision, profound meaning. In Morrison’s novels, he paid close attention to the living conditions of black people and their destiny under the double cultural conflicts. This article attempts to find out the causes of the tragedy of Pecola, the heroine of the novel, from the family, community and society, and then to explore the revealing effect and influence of the structural art used in the works on his tragedy.
