The definition of learning is accompanied by a different view of learning. Meyer, an American educational psychologist, reviewed the evolution of learning outlook in the 20th century and summarized three different viewpoints: learning is the enhancement or weakening of responses, learning is the acquisition of knowledge, and learning is the construction of knowledge. The first view that learning is a mechanical process, the second view that learning is the transfer of knowledge, the third view that learning is not through the recording of information but to explain the information to carry out.
