“美国现代黑人小说之父”理查德.赖特以其独到的观察视角及细腻的描写极大推动了20世纪美国文学的发展。其代表作《土生子》所塑造的“新黑人”形象颠覆了人们以往对黑人的思维定式,揭示美国黑人遭受的生存困境。美国白人社会作为主流文化对黑人从政治经济文化等诸多方面的限制体现了福柯的权力规训理论。在如同监狱般的美国社会中无形的歧视与规训使比格变成权力的被压迫者。
“Father of American modern black novels ” Richard Wright greatly promoted the development of 20th century American literature with his unique observation angle and delicate description. The image of “New Negro” shaped by his representative “Native Son” has subverted people’s past thinking on blacks and revealed the predicament that African Americans suffer from. American white society as a mainstream culture of black people from the political, economic and cultural constraints and many other aspects of Foucault’s power discipline theory. The invisible discrimination and discipline in a prison-like American society turned Beagle into an oppressed power.
