Objective: To clarify the role of leukocytes in the pathogenesis of acute stroke and its effect on the prognosis of patients with acute stroke. Methods: 98 cases of cerebral infarction, 60 cases of cerebral hemorrhage, 32 cases of subarachnoid hemorrhage and 60 healthy control group were detected the number of white blood cells, while the patients were divided into high white blood cells and normal white blood cells, patients with onset After 1 month survival or death as a prognostic indicator. Results: The number of early white blood cells in acute stroke patients was higher than that in control group. The mortality of high white blood cells was significantly higher than that of normal white blood cells. The increase of white blood cell count was related to the severity of brain injury and early prognosis. Conclusion: Increased white blood cell count may play a role in the pathogenesis of acute stroke and also affect the recent prognosis of patients.
