“一个艺术家要守得住寂寞,那样有可能会画出几张可传世的好作品。”这是二十多年前我的一位老师反复跟我说的一句话。当时年轻没去细想这句话真实含义。早上起来接完一位河南朋友的订画电话,我忽然一愣:我还要这样接订画单吗?我问自已,这些年我已觉画得有点疲惫,画画的兴致已大不如前,要搞“艺术还是作画匠”?二十多年前老师说的这句话是那样清晰地在我脑中闪烁着。我似乎明白了许多,我这一生为之倾心不懈追求绘画艺术,究竟 “An artist wants to keep loneliness, so it is possible to draw a few good works that can be handed down. ” This is one of my teacher more than 20 years ago repeatedly said to me.
