认知语言学视角下的词汇理据探析

认知语言学认为体验性、隐喻性和理据性是语言的三大特性,并倡导在二语教学中实施以构式为核心的理据教学。词汇教学是大学英语教学的重要组成部分,是提升学生英语综合应用水平的基础。该文在厘清认知语言学核心概念的基础上,即意象图式、范畴化、原型理论、隐喻和转喻的认知模型,系统论述了词汇意义产生、变化和扩大等的认知理据,同时指出认知语言学对英语词汇教学的指导意义。 Cognitive linguistics believes that experiential, metaphorical and motivational are three major characteristics of language, and advocates the implementation of constructive as a theoretical motivation in second language teaching. Vocabulary teaching is an important part of college English teaching and is the basis for improving students’ comprehensive English application. On the basis of clarifying the core concepts of cognitive linguistics, namely cognitive schema of image schema, categorization, prototype theory, metaphor and metonymy, this paper systematically discusses the cognitive motivation of producing, changing and expanding lexical meaning, It also points out the guiding significance of cognitive linguistics in English vocabulary teaching.
