新世纪美术研究所首次学术年会于2001年3月8日在中国艺术研究院大会议室举行。会上的许多发言很精彩。总起来说,大家主要谈了自己研究些什么、出了哪些研究成果和怎么研究的,有什么心得体会,以及今后打算研究些什么和准备怎样去研究,这样两个大的方面。每个研究人员的情况不同,发言的侧重点也各有不同,但相互交流,互有启发,对进一步推动全所学术研究的深入开展和出成果、出人才,是大有好处的。不过,这里刊发的“部分发言选登”,并不能充分反映学术年会的情况,一是因为有的发言者在会后忙于别的工作,未能及时整理和提供自己的发言稿;二是有的虽然提供了,但限于刊物版面被砍掉了部分内容。这是需要说明的。今年是成就卓著的花鸟画家郭味蕖先生（1908-1971）诞辰93周年和逝世30周年,特刊发李魁正教授的《论郭味蕖的花鸟画艺术》一文。作者是郭先生的弟子,文中认为,郭味蕖先生开创繁盛派画风与创立“郭氏墨竹”意义深远;他是学者型艺术家的榜样;学习郭先生的关键是学习他的画品与人格精神。主持人 黄远林 New Century Art Institute first academic annual meeting on March 8, 2001 held in the Chinese Academy of Arts Conference room. This is to be explained. This year is the 93rd anniversary of the birth of Mr. Guo Weijun (1908-1971), the accomplished flower and bird painter, and the 30th anniversary of his death. He has published a special article on the art of flower and bird painting by Guo Kui-tao, published by Professor Li Kui-ch’ang. The author is a disciple of Mr. Guo. According to the article, it is of far-reaching significance for Mr. GUO Wei-yu to create a style of festivals and create “Guo’s ink bamboo.” He is a model for scholarly artists.
