Purpose We comprehensively observed the effects of testes, plasma epididymal (TEP) and non-androgen testis (NATF) on prostate growth and proposed and hypothesized the mechanism of human BPH. METHODS We reviewed current available data on the discovery of NATF and evaluated various possible ways NATF acts on the prostate combined with the anatomy, histology and epidemiology of BPH.
