苏州河口挡潮闸及闸顶吴淞路桥是我市1988年的重点市政综合治理工程之一。该工程的主要效益之一是分担外白渡桥上的交通流量,解决长期来外滩地区南北交通的“瓶颈”问题;效益之二是汛期遭遇超过苏州河两岸现有防洪墙的设防能力的台风高潮时可以关闸挡潮,与经过加高加固的208公里防洪墙一起共同确保市区的防洪安全。经初设审查批准的闸上吴淞路桥为三跨连续梁钢结构桥。近期按平面交通要求布置:北岸四车道引桥与天潼路立交,过天潼路后下坡在塘沽路口与平面交通道路衔接。为便于行驶 Suzhou estuary tidal flats and gate Wusong Road and Bridge is the city in 1988 focused on one of the municipal integrated management projects. Approved by the initial review of the gate on the Wusong Road Bridge for the three-span continuous beam steel structure bridge. According to the recent plane traffic requirements layout: North Road, four-lane approach bridge and Tiantong Road overpass, after the downhill Tiantong Road in Tanggu intersection with the plane traffic road convergence.
