通过在新疆绿洲农区密度对高油玉米群体生理特性的研究,结果表明:高油115在82500株/hm2密度的群体干物质生产率从拔节期到成熟期平均值达322.79 kg/hm2.d,高油298为308.52 kg/hm2.d,Sc704为267.92 kg/hm2.d,高于其他密度的群体。高油115吐丝期至乳熟期的光合势平均在140.69万m2.d/hm2,Sc704吐丝期至乳熟期的光合势平均在99.54万m2.d/hm2.d,高油298吐丝期至乳熟期的光合势平均在130.87万m2.d/hm2。高油玉米一般在拔节期至乳熟期的净同化率较高,而在乳熟期以后高油玉米的净同化率明显没有对照Sc704的净同化率高。
