1988年汉城奥运会后,“体操王子”李宁退役。一直以来他都有一个愿望,那就是让中国一流的运动员穿中国自己的服装。于是他加盟了健力宝集团,从此拉开了李宁公司创业之路的序幕,开他创了中国体育用品品牌经营的先河。在耐克、阿迪达斯等国际品牌大举进入中国的市场环境下,“李宁”经过近二十年的发展,如今以市场绝对占有率绝对领先的优势成为了中国体育用品的第一品牌。正如李宁在新闻发布会上所讲的那样:“李宁牌系列产品以不断翻新的创意和优良的品质赢得了众多荣誉,成为1991年以来中国体育代表团参加历次重大国际比赛的专用装备,从而结束了中国运动员穿外国品牌服装领奖的历史,李宁牌服装和运动鞋系列不仅被推选为中国明星产品,而且被评为全国服装行业十大名牌之一”。[1]
