(六) 第四期于1938年4月16日开学,12月陆续毕业。其中一、二、六大队开学毕业较早,界于第三、四期之间。这一期在全面抗战、国土沦丧、国难日亟的情况下,全国大批青年更加仰慕我党我军,奔赴延安、抗大的知识青年象潮水一样涌来,学受急剧增加。这时许光达升任教育长、陈伯钧任训练部长、周文龙任校务部长、欧阳毅任秘书长。这期先后编为八个大队,共辖43个队,学员达到5562人,43个队中的7个队继续训练八路军、新四军和白区派来的干部;31个队训练知识分子男生,5个队训练女生编为女生大队;知识分子学员占83％。另为了解决学校扩大、开展工作的需要,还成立了教员训练队、政工干部训练班、区队长训练队和参谋训练班。因人多房紧,除继续挖窑洞外,决定驻地分散:一大队驻瓦窑堡,二、三、四、八大队驻延安附近,五大队驻甘肃庆阳,六大队(即前方回来的随营学校)驻洛川,七大
