联合国粮食及农业组织(The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UnitedNations,FAO)是发展中国家农业技术交流与合作的重要平台,在促进全球农业发展、保障粮食安全等方面发挥着举足轻重的作用。近年来,FAO出版物中文译作不断增多,但是对其术语翻译的相关研究工作并未提上日程。本文拟围绕FAO术语翻译的特点、原则和问题展开讨论,希望能够推动对FAO出版物翻译的深入研究。
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is an important platform for agricultural technology exchange and cooperation among developing countries and plays an important role in promoting global agricultural development and ensuring food security. In recent years, there has been a steady increase in Chinese translations of FAO publications, but research on terminology translation has not been put on the agenda. This article intends to focus on the characteristics, principles and issues of FAO terminology translation, and hopes to promote further research on the translation of FAO publications.
