传统体育养生术是我国古代优秀的健身方法之一,是世界上一项独具特色的本土化民族传统体育项目,是通过形体活动、呼吸吐纳以及心理调节达到预防及治疗疾病,增进健康,延年益寿的养生方法。文章从传统体育养生术对当代大学生的身体健康、心理健康以及良好的社会适应能力的影响等方面论述了目前在普通高校开设传统体育养生课程的可能性,为普通高校开设传统体育养生课程提供理论论证。
