经济全球化进程带来的文化的普遍交往，将使民族文化特别是发展中国家的民族文化受到严峻挑战。经济全球化既使民族文化受到挑战，还将使其获得发展创新的环境。中国文化正处在农业文明向工业文明的转变过程中，它不可避免地要受到挑战并经受时代的选择。全球化条件下形成的普遍交往环境也为中国文化提供创新的契机，中国文化的内在精神和精华必将因普遍交往而发扬光大。
The universal exchange of cultures brought about by the process of economic globalization will severely challenge the national culture of a nation, especially that of developing countries. Economic globalization will challenge even the nation’s culture and will also enable it to develop an environment for innovation and development. As Chinese culture is in the process of transforming agricultural civilization into industrial civilization, it is inevitably challenged and endured by the choices of the times. The universal contact environment formed under the conditions of globalization also provides an opportunity for innovation in Chinese culture. The inherent spirit and essence of Chinese culture will surely flourish due to universal contacts.
