Mary Sidney, Countess Pembroke, was the first woman to win widespread acclaim in Britain. She is the sister of Philip Sidney, who spared her efforts to promote and promote her brother as a knight-era legendary writer (and good writer) after her brother’s death. The Sidney Psalm, co-authored with her brother Sidney, is described by Sir John Davis as “Art and Elegance” (Hannay 1990: 193) and serves as a model for English poetry, affecting later Such as John Dunn, George Herbert, John Milton and other poetry. Mary Sidney was the first woman to publish drama in British history and one of the earliest writers to use non-rhyme poetry in drama. Through literary translation, Mary Sidney introduced the tragedy creation mode in continental Europe, paving the way for some Shakespeare plays. She is a poet, translator and patron in one and is described by William Brown as “the source of all poems.”
