Objective To study the relationship between cerebrovascular disease and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS). Methods 30 cases of cerebrovascular disease (CVD) matched with age, sex and body mass index (BMI) and 30 cases of normal controls were compared and analyzed. Results The incidence of OSAS in CVD group was as high as 70% (20% in control group, P <0.01), and systolic blood pressure, hypoxia time, mean and minimum oxygen saturation and central apnea number were significantly different from those in control group Significant. Conclusions OSAS is a risk factor for neglected CVD, but does not rule out the possibility that OSAS may be induced by CVD. Both of them may form a vicious cycle that affects CVD rehabilitation
