我国北方地区供热范围很大,时间又长,供热循环泵、锅炉鼓引风机数量、电耗均很大,其节能潜力也是巨大的。循环水泵常采用两种型式:即离心式和轴流式(根据地理位置和工作条件等来选择不同型式的水泵)。水泵的运行实践表明,现有泵的品种不可能完全适应各种情况的运行需要。因此,在使用中会出现泵的性能与实际需要不相适应的情况,这会使泵长期处于远离设计工况下运行,其结果是加速了泵的损坏和增加了泵的耗电量。同时也降低了泵的稳定性和可靠性。设备的不断更新,老式设备的安全和经济状态更不能适应这种发展的要求,要使现有的泵适应实际需要,就必须采用最新技术和根据各种具体条件对各类型泵进行必要的改进,这就要求从事水泵工作的人员掌握一些必要的设计和改进知识,做好对水泵的改进工作。
