In recent years there has been a marked reduction in breastfeeding, notably, the increasing diversification of commercially produced milk substitutes and the gradual indifference of breastfeeding among pediatric medical workers. At the request of the UN World Health Organization, the author conducted a survey on the frequency of breastfeeding, the duration of feeding, the amount of milk, the basic components, immunoglobulins and trace elements in the Soviet Union. This survey is provided by the World Health Organization. A total of 325 workers and staff families were surveyed in Moscow.
