少数民族地区是中国西部重要的组成部分,受历史、经济等因素的影响,长期以来形成了教育落后———人才匮乏———经济增长缓慢的恶性循环。如何推动少数民族地区教育的发展,如何培养更多、更强的少数民族地方人才,从而推动少数民族地区经济文化的快速发展,成为了关系到能否实现西部大开发宏伟蓝图的重大问题。以民族预科教育为切入点,指出民族教育在西部开发中对民族地区经济发展的巨大作用,提出如何改革、发展民族预科教育以适应西部大开发的历史性战略。 Ethnic minority areas are an important part of western China.
