For the development of social media, a large number of we-media accounts with the theme of showing rural life style have emerged on the Chinese Internet. From planting and fishing to traditional food, these accounts explore the cultural elements of Chinese local themes in an all-round way from production to life, and have won the favor of the audience. This paper will start with the concepts of "landscape" and "media landscape", combine with the technical logic of short videos in the Internet era, and follow the path of other criticism to explain a new media cultural phenomenon--short videos of rural culture, so as to understand the emergence of this cultural phenomenon and its cultural essence.
