This article focuses on the following three questions: (1) the value of new word research and research methods. In Taiwan, the metabolism of the Mandarin (Mandarin) vocabulary has become an important topic in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Most young people are most creative. At present, a large proportion of the freshmen vocabulary in Taiwan come from the campus. The author visited 200 undergraduates and postgraduates of three universities (Zhengda, Zhongzheng and Soochow) and recorded the words they used to talk about everyday and online, as the basis for their research. In addition, I interviewed a few primary and secondary school language teachers to understand how these new words can be applied in teaching after they are familiar with the public through various media. What are the difficulties arising from the teaching? (2) Breeding of new words on campus and breakthrough of old structure. Some of the materials collected in this article are very different from the vocabulary structure of the old days. The large number of these words, the popularity of a wide range of different from the traditional model of the word is not formally become a new way of Chinese word formation, or just a temporary phenomenon, deserves our attention and research. (3) the impact of campus neologisms on common language and language teaching. With the development of media and communication tools, the proliferation of new words on campus through the channels of presenters, journalists, newspapers, magazines and community activities has had a great impact and influence on common language and language teaching. This is also the issue we are going to discuss of. Looking at the overall development trend of Taiwan’s new words is followed by what the law, how the operation, the author put forward some personal induction and opinion, as the conclusion of this article.
