This research finds out the relationship among economic growth and higher education with in Pakistan period of 1980 to 2018.We used long term data to find out the relationship among these variables.Primary focus of this research is to find the association among economic growth and higher education.We estimated the effect of higher education enrollments on economic growth.We used ARDL bond testing co-integration approach to find out the relationship.We found that a positive relationship in long run among economic growth and higher education.Our research outcomes indicated that that all the variables are stationery at level(I).The higher education enrollments also showed the positive impact in long run on GDP.By using Toda and Yamamoto causality test our research also concludes that there is unidirectional causality from GDP to higher education,while there is no causal relationship running from higher education enrolments to GDP.Our results confirm that higher studies are playing an important role to enhance economic growth.Study recommends that more investment in education sector is essential for the betterment of human capital as well as for country?s economic growth.
