校企合作办学模式是应用型英语专业发展的方向,应用型本科英语专业实施校企合作办学模式是十分必要的。校企合作办学模式下的英语专业应根据社会对应用型英语人才的要求,确立人才培养的规格,从而进行合理的课程设置。校企合作办学模式对英语师资队伍建设提出了新的要求,目前应用型英语专业教师在知识结构和能力上还不能适应专业发展的要求,学校教师应加强应用领域的专业知识和技能的学习和训练,同时通过校企互聘合作,建设一支结构合理的符合专业发展的师资队伍。
