The term “Post-Impressionism” was introduced by British art critic Roger Fry in the early 20th century. Post-impressionist painter Zhong Fulai most advocates Cezanne, he thinks Cezanne to Van Gogh and Gauguin and other post-impressionist painter has the leading role, Van Gogh and Gauguin is Cezanne’s followers. Frye apparently thinks Cezanne’s painting and style have an extraordinary impact on Van Gogh. As far as Van Gogh was concerned, although he paid close attention to Cezanne while painting in France, he paid little attention to the fact that he had little or no contact with the Cezanne. Van Gogh style and Cezanne style more distinctive. Therefore, Cezanne led Van Gogh, Van Gogh followed Cezanne’s lack of factual basis.
