随着城市迅猛发展，人工环境不断增加，人们生活节奏加快，向往自然，并在园林中寻回日益失去的大自然成为人们普遍愿望，对现代造园的形式与内容亦提出了新的要求，是只拘泥于传统古典园林的形式、内容、造园手法，抱着旧的东西不放，还是吸取古今中外园林的精华，推陈出新，不断充实，完善我们的城市新园林，以满足现代人生活、休憩的需要，让公园以一种全新的面貌展现在游人面前，我们在这方面作了有益的探索。
With the rapid development of cities, the increasing number of artificial environments, the acceleration of people’s pace of life, the yearning for nature, and the retreat of the increasingly lost nature in gardens have become the general desire of the people. They also put forward new requirements for the forms and contents of modern gardening. It is only sticking to the form, content, and gardening techniques of traditional classical gardens, holding the old things, or drawing on the essence of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign gardens, innovating and enriching our new urban gardens to meet the needs of modern people. The needs of Hume allow the park to be displayed in front of visitors with a new look. We have made useful explorations in this regard.
