The Birmingham model, proposed by Birmingham School representatives Sinclair and Coulthard, aims to provide a theoretical framework for macroscopic structural analysis of everyday conversational discourse, and it has so far been mainly used for the structural analysis of class conversations. This paper modifies the classic Birmingham model for conversation analysis of drama texts and compares the analysis results with the analysis of the results of the class conversation. The conclusions are as follows: The slightly modified Birmingham model is also applicable to the analysis of dramatic text conversations; the drama conversation structure It is similar in general to the text of the class session, but shows a big difference in the type of the turn structure, the structure of the lesson, and the type of conversation.
