When I was studying artifacts in Japan in 1988, I visited many Buddhist temples and Buddhist temple sites, impressing the ancient Buddhist temples in Japan, especially the archeological excavations, restoration and exhibitions that corresponded with the overall layout of the Buddhist temples in the early Sui and Tang dynasties in China. During the visit to the Nara National Museum, just in front of the museum is holding a Buddhist exhibition, I had asked the well-known head of the well-known Japanese Pagoda temple layout. He sent me a picture of the evolution of the layout of the Buddhist temple in Nara during the Asuka period. A few days later, he visited Kansai University’s Netsu Kaneyama professor and sent me a copy of his new book, “The Asuka Excavation.” There are many examples of layouts of early buddhist monasteries in the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Archipelago. It can be seen from the North (North Korea) South (Japanese archipelago) development and evolution
