In the summer and autumn seasons, the transpiration rate and stomatal conductance of tea leaves were the largest before and after noon under the natural conditions of the field. The transpiration rate and stomatal conductance showed a significant positive correlation. The net photosynthetic rate was the highest before 10 o’clock in the morning, and then decreased significantly. The light suppression of sunny day was the main reason for the decrease of photosynthesis in tea plants. There was no parallel relationship between net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance in tea leaves, and there was no significant negative correlation between net photosynthetic rate and VPD. Stomatal conductance and leaf water use efficiency (net photosynthesis rate and transpiration rate ratio) showed a significant negative correlation. In one day, the water use efficiency was highest before 10 am and after 3 pm, and lowest before and after noon. Autumn tea leaves moisture utilization is higher than in summer.
