人教版新高中化学必修教材立足新的化学课程标准,在内容的选择和知识的呈现方式上突破了以往“以学科为中心”的知识体系,既注意了学科与社会相融合,又关注学科知识体系的逻辑关系。教材设置了丰富多彩的栏目:“思考与交流”、“实践活动”、“科学探究”、“学与问”、“科学视野”。这些精心设计的栏目实际上是一个指导学习的过程。其中“实践活动”栏目的主要内容是进行一些与化学学科知识和与社会相关课题的调查活动、研究、课外小实验等。
