随着柳州市旅游业的迅速发展,越来越多的外国游客愿意到柳州旅游和观光。因此,在柳州的每个旅游景点采用中英两种语言的公示语显得尤为重要,然而,在这些景点的公示语翻译中却存在着一些不容忽视的问题。文章将结合柳侯公园公示语翻译的一些具体实例,运用归化和异化理论简要分析其中的翻译错误,并提出修改建议,以求达到提高柳州市公示语英译质量和为全国其他城市的公示语翻译提供借鉴的目的。
With the rapid development of tourism in Liuzhou, more and more foreign tourists are willing to travel and sightseeing in Liuzhou. Therefore, the use of public signs in both Chinese and English languages is particularly important for each tourist attraction in Liuzhou. However, there are some problems that can not be ignored in the translation of public signs in these spots. Based on some concrete examples of the translation of public signs in Liuhou Park, the article briefly analyzes the translation mistakes by using the theory of domestication and foreignization, and proposes suggestions for amendment in order to improve the quality of English translation of public signs in Liuzhou and publicize the other cities in the country Language translation provides the purpose of reference.
